About

With attention to human rights, the respect to human dignity, being one of the most important objectives of mankind in the past and present, and in view of the fact that the preservation of all achievements need a national and international will and close cooperation alongside the United Nations. The United Nations Association of Iran (UNA-IRAN) came about as a result of a popular movement for the United Nations. The support for the United Nations and its development activities towards the promotion of human rights, humanitarian standards, spread of culture of tolerance, freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and peace and respect for human dignity, are all principles that are included in the UNA-IRAN agenda. In spite of different views and definitions of human rights, UNA-IRAN shall endeavour to be a bridge between the United Nations and international institutions, and Iran, and shall try to bring human rights standards home.
