The first Companies’ Social Responsibilities in Accomplishing MDG Conference was held on 11 November 2007 with the attendance of 30 top directors and experts from the business community of Iran in the conference hall of UNA-IRAN.

In this conference which was held by UNA-IRAN with the cooperation of UNDP, the MDG were discussed and explained. Also the UN Global Compact on the responsibility of companies in accomplishing MDG was explained to the participants by Dr. Mohammad Ali Farzin, regional development projects expert of UNDP.

In this conference which was held in total coordination and brainstorming, the participants expressed their opinions about the main subject of discussion, and declared their support for UNA-IRAN’s proposal.

The conference came to a close with the speech of UNA-IRAN’s Vice-president, Ms.  Enayati, and the participating companies announced their readiness to support the proposal, and called for expertise and technical meetings to take place and continued cooperation.
